Buckley : On Going In
My girl, Sarah Buckley is a stream-of-consciousness artist living and working in Los Angeles who has been a contributing artist at The Radder. Her works are visual meditations inviting viewers to enter states of lucidity and self-discovery. She will be full-force-sharing her magnificence in LA this July and August through a series of events.

On Going In is an exhibition of Buckley’s first large-scale drawing series, featured within a multimedia installation that gives an insight to the flow states she accesses in the creative process. In the spirit of subversive art, this series will explore art beyond the usual gallery experience. Each event, inspired by the concepts and messages explored in Buckley's work, is designed to awaken conscious awareness in our community through sense-driven experiences.
All events will be at PS Kaufman Gallery in Downtown LA, starting with the Opening Reception this Saturday, July 11th.

Curated Dinner and Live Art Performance : We Are One | Thursday, July 23rd 7-10pm
This special night allows participants to explore all the senses through a journey in to a deep source of Buckley's work, Africa. Gladys Nyoth, Chef and Owner of Mbombo, will create a culinary experience from the regions of Nigeria, Morocco, Cameroon, Ivory Coast and other beautiful areas of her motherland inside the walls of the installation. With live African music filling the space, Buckley will capture the essence of the evening in an ongoing, live flow drawing. On view for this night only, is the full collection of Mali hand-made mud cloths in collaboration with Los-Angeles art house, Zoe Bios Creative.
Streaming : Accessing Flow States | July 31 (Full Moon Session), August 5, August 9 - 6-9pm
An exploration of presence through body, sound and art with Yoga teacher Raquel Jordan and sacred sound practitioner Dominic Moore, bringing you into a state of inner clarity through Yoga Nidra and crystal bowl sound healing. Buckley will be guiding a series of drawing exercises that focuses on accessing flow and establishing a fuller understanding of the power of presence in the creative process.
Closing Dance & Shake It Off Party | Saturday, August 15, 7-10pm
Sounds curated by DJ Rescue aka Zia of The Dandy Warhols. Over numerous long voyages touring the continent with The Dandys, Zia and Buckley developed a dream duo called U&I to indulge in spontaneous audio, visual and tactile experiences. It fuses Zia's unbelievable ability to ignite masses with sonic bliss and energetic presence, with Buckley's love for exposing the process of unfolding stream-of-consciousness artwork to a live audience. A good 'ole fashioned shake and shimmy, this one's going to be STEAMY.
