Jessica Niello at ØGAARD : Clay Bodies
Again, ØGAARD Gallery in Oakland is just bringing a stunning collaboration of many talented artists to the public. This time, an intensive artistic conversation between Tessa Watson (gallery owner) and rad ceramicist Jessica Niello, with contributions by Ido Yoshimoto in making site specific charred elm wooden pedestals, Carissa Potter of People I've Loved with hand-made letter press posters for the show and Erik Heywood of Book/Shop creating a zine on the development process of the work.
Tessa shared a preview of the works above and said that "Most of these relationships were born out of all of our involvement in The Possible show earlier in the year at the Berkeley Art Museum."
